In this episode, we will talk about a topic within the science of interior design beyond the art of design; Scale, Proportion and the golden ratio.

Like picking preferred interior style and creating Pinterest board is not enough, because you can have all the right pieces aesthetically but if they are in the wrong scale and proportion, it is not going to feel right.

So these videos curated below offer bite-sized lessons from experienced design professionals on how to apply scale and proportion in your home or project. Be sure to save this post for later- that’s how you build your design skills over time.

So in conclusion, Scale refers to ensuring that furniture and interior items are appropriate to size of room (small rug for small room vs big rug for big rug, small wall art for small room vs big wall art for big wall). While Proportion is ensuring furniture or interior items that are placed together are appropriate in size (following the golden ratio rule; one item should be two third smaller or bigger than the other depending on the situation).
